Executive committee

The WFA is led by an Executive Committee that comprises of the 6 Trustee positions. These trustees work on a voluntary basis and are elected at the Annual General Meeting for a period of 4 years.

The Executive Committee work in conjunction with the WFA staff and a selection of subcommittees to deliver and guide the work of the Association.

Meet David Lewis, WFA Chairperson

  • Presides at meetings of the Board of Trustees.

  • Supports the staff to deliver the objectives of the WFA.
  • Works with the Secretary to develop agendas for the Board of Trustees meetings.
  • Acts as an ambassador for the charity.
  • To undertake any other duties that might reasonably be deemed within the status of the job, and appropriate to the post.

5. WFA National League Secretary

Meet Amy Wharton, Acting WFA National League Secretary

  • Be first point of contact between National League and WFA Cup Teams and the WFA.
  • Ensure effective correspondence and communication with all teams.
  • Monitor and respond to all [email protected] emails.
  • Ensure smooth and effective running of National League & Cup fixtures as per league and cup regulations.
  • Oversee all player registrations.
  • Responsible for the WFA Full Time Website and updates as required.
  • Administer all National League fines, fees and suspensions.
  • Ensure the Referees coordinator allocates and appoints referees for each fixture.
  • To aid with the set up, running and de-rig of the events.
  • Create the League fixtures and format prior to the start of each season (in conjunction with the League Management Committee).
  • To undertake any other duties that might reasonably be deemed within the status of the job, and appropriate to the post.
  • This post carries a vote on the Wheelchair Football Association Executive Committee.
