This coming weekend marks the return of the MDUK Championship following the winter break. The race for automatic promotion hots up with a number of teams still in the running for the play-off place also.

Kai Gill previews this weekend’s action:

The winter break is finally over as a huge ‘whoop whoop’ comes from the MDUK Championship players, coaches and supporters. As a player the winter break can seem long, not just because we’ve all overindulged on turkey and chocolates (hmmm… that could just be me) but also all we can do is train and some play some regional league fixtures. Nothing beats National League matches.

Now let’s have a look at some of the fixtures happening in the fourth round:

Spin-kicking the weekend off is Manchester United against WBA Dudley at 9:15AM on Saturday. At the same time, Middlesbrough Reserves PFC face Evergreen in what will be an interesting match with both teams wanting to improve their league position.

Later in the day, Electric Eels face Cheltenham SW All Stars at 1PM with only seven points between the two sides. Meanwhile, Evergreen face current league leaders Manchester United, in what is sure to be a competitive fixture from the two former Premiership sides.

Finishing off the first day, we will see Evergreen face current fifth place side Bolton Bullets who are within the race for the play-off spot with Muscle Warriors PFC and Norwich City. Speaking of which, Muscle Warriors PFC finish Saturday against Telford PFC.

On Sunday, kicking the second day Electric Eels face Norwich City in what will be an exciting encounter. At the same time, Middlesbrough Reserves PFC face Muscle Warriors PFC. Could the Teesside club grab a win?

Just after, current second place AFC Bournemouth Warriors face Bolton Bullets at 10:30 AM. This will be an exciting fast paced match to watch. On the other pitch, Cheltenham SW All Stars face WBA Dudley. Well, let’s just say set your alarm clock to arrive for 10:30 AM because these are going to be two matches you don’t want to miss.

At 1PM Nottingham Forest PFC face AFC Bournemouth Warriors alongside Telford PFC who are facing Evergreen.

As the whistle blows for full-time on the fourth round, Evergreen face Nottingham Forest PFC and WBA Dudley are facing Telford PFC.

If you want to watch a fast-paced sport then, Powerchair football national league weekend is for you. The fourth round takes place at Lee Westwood Sports Centre, Nottingham Trent University, Clifton Campus, Clifton Lane, Nottingham NG11 8NS.
