WFA Regional Leagues
The WFA are focusing on the development of Regional Leagues in order to grow the game and provide “local” opportunities for teams to compete.
The WFA adopt the 8 FA defined regions and aim to have regional activity happening in all areas by the 2013/14 season. It is hoped that these regions will provide a pathway for players and teams to progress into the National League structure.
The country will be divided into the following regions:
- North West
- North East
- West Midlands
- East Midlands
- Eastern
- London
- South West
- South East
In each of the regions, a “local” committee will be created to administer the activities. These will be supported by the WFA and shaped to suit the structure and Clubs within the region.
