The England Powerchair Football Team

The squad will be departing for the FIPFA World Cup, Japan 07 on Friday, 5th October 2007. The competition runs from 8th - 13th October, 2007.

The first FIPFA World Cup will see 7 teams competing for the title of World Champions and to get their hands on the prize Trophy. The countries battling for the title are:
Japan,
England,
France,
USA,
Denmark,
Portugal,
Belgium.

Watch all Englands Games over the Internet

FIPFA in conjunction with "MOBACHOO" will broadcast live every game from the Group Stage up to the Final on the internet. Games will be shown by a fixed point camera. If you miss any of the live games, you will be able to watch by Video On Demand (VOD) at a later date!

The team have been very fortunate to have a number of supporters that have followed the progress of the squad preparations, and will be following the teams fortunes in Japan.

Supermac - Malcolm Macdonald
England and Newcastle legend, Macolm Macdonald has followed the development of Powerchair Football since its early days. He popped in to a number of training sessions, to speak to the team and share his experience of playing for England.

Celestine Babayaro and James Troisi from Newcastle Utd join the squad
Celestine Babayaro and James Troisi from Newcastle Utd, joined the squad for a training session. This was part of the Premier League's 'Creating Chances' initiative. They took part in some basic skills and took some penalties. The lads then answered a number of questions and gave their advice and experience of representing their country.
