News: WFA National Wheelchair Football Development Manager

The Wheelchair Football Association is looking to appoint a National Wheelchair Football Development Manager.

Full time 3-year post (Post continuation subject to funding).

Salary – £27,000 - £30,000

This is a unique career opportunity to drive forward the development of the Powerchair game; the main aim of the role is to increase the number of opportunities for participation/competition at all levels across England.

  • Do you have an understanding of community-based sports development programmes and of partnership working?
  • Do you have experience of applying for funding?
  • Do you have experience of leading community-based disability programmes
  • Do you have a commitment to maximising the opportunity for disabled people to access high quality football provision?
  • Do you have strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills?
  • Do you have experience of project development and management?
  • Do you have an understanding of local and national government policy?
  • Do you have an understanding of sports policy and the impact of sport on communities?
