News: National Team Head Coach announces first selection squad

The Head Coach for the WFA National Team has announced the names of the players invited to the first selection weekend of the season. The aim is to develop a National Team to compete in International competitions over the next two years leading up to the FIPFA World Cup in 2011. It is hoped a number of other Internationals will be arranged during this period.

The following players have been selected to attend:
Sam Bull (Aspire PFC)
Nicky Baker (Aspire PFC)
Daniel Blake (Northern Thunder)
Faye Stevenson (Northern Thunder)
Amir Ali (Villa Rockets)
Ryan O’Leary (Aspire 2)
Dan Stevens (Valence)
Adam Yuill (Gillingham Mean Machines)

The WFA and Head Coach would like to stress this is the first in a number of trials which will be taking place over the next few months.
