The 2007/08 WFA National League season is heading towards its conclusion, and both divisions are set for a tense final weekend. With two rounds of fixtures remaining the Premiership division top two are only separated by 5 points, while the Championship could not be closer. The top two teams are only a point apart and have the same goal difference.
The final fixtures will take place at the Arena Sports Centre at Kettering Leisure Village on Saturday, 26th April 2008. Matches will kick off from 9:30 with the last game of the season starting around 15:30.
The 2007/08 WFA National League season has seen 17 teams competing across 2 divisions. The Premiership consisted of 7 teams that had to play each team three times. The Premiership Clubs will have played a total of 18 matches with a total of 63 fixtures being played in this division. The Championship saw 10 teams compete playing each team twice. The Championship Clubs will also complete 18 fixtures each, with a total of 90 fixtures be played during the season.
This seasons National League was part funded with money from the FA and a grant from the National Lottery Awards For All scheme. This money has helped with equipment purchases, venue hire and Referee fees.
