News: Wheelchair Football joins Sports Relief

The last WFA National League weekend took place at the same time as Sport Relief. The WFA, Clubs, Players and supporters were all keen to join forces and raise a little money for the cause.
Money was raised in a number of ways. Firstly, all the Clubs purchased the Sport Relief Socks and adopted them as part of their kits for the weekend. A raffle was organised with some great prizes, that were kindly donated by Mr Bolding.
The Northern Thunder Club and Players went that little step further, by playing in some "different" kits as well as all dying their hair!
All together over the weekend over £250 was raised for Sport Relief. The WFA would like to thank everyone that contributed and took part.
