News: WFA England Team prepare for World Cup kick off

The WFA England Powerchair Football Team have arrived safely in Tokyo for the FIPFA World Cup event. They departed England on Friday for the long flight to Japan.

The squad have spent a few days settling in to the new surroundings and environment.

Today was the first time the squad visited the venue where they would be playing their matches. They were able to train for an hour on the court and prepare for the opening match against the USA tomorrow.

Head Coach, Allen Harrison said "The squad have settled well and it was good to get back onto court for a short time. All the players are fit and looking forward to tomorrow. Everyone is confident going into our first game."
